Data Protection is a topic which is ever evolving. You can feel confident with applying the main principles one day, yet the next, you may be asked a question about the UK GDPR, or receive a complex DSAR to review, and suddenly it all seems daunting once again.
In my journey of increasing my confidence with handling people’s personal data, courses run by those with years of practical experience has been invaluable.
After a few months of working in my role assessing DSAR’s, I knew that I would need a refresher of knowledge. Being able to ask my colleagues questions has been fantastic on a day-to-day basis, however, receiving a detailed rundown of how to apply Data Protection principles in real world scenarios, away from my own specific cases I am handling, has helped reinforce my comprehension further.
If you want to maximise proactivity when approaching issues surrounding data privacy, check out Data Protection Essentials course. Designed for those who have limited prior understanding of basic Data Protection principles, this course is great for those somewhat new to handling personal data, or who are in need of a refresher. Worth 6 accredited hours from CPD UK, the next course dates are 15 & 17 September (9:30am-1pm). To book your place, use the link above or contact our Operations Manager at info@naomikorn.com.
