Just the Ticket! Reflections on the Business Archives Conference
Naomi Korn and Jess Pembroke were thrilled to represent Naomi Korn Associates at the “Just the Ticket! Changing Tracks and Bridging the Gaps in Core Archival Practices” conference, hosted by the Business Archives Council and the Business Archives Council of Scotland at the National Railway Museum. Naomi Korn Associates was proud to be one of the sponsors of the successful event, attended by over 120 national and international delegates, and to connect with so many colleagues passionate about preserving and innovating in the archival sector.
Jess said, “The event sparked some fantastic discussions. It was great to see The National Archives’ contribution on AI, exploring both its potential benefits and associated risks. We had the pleasure of engaging with stakeholders about our forthcoming work. The Archives and Records Association has recently commissioned Naomi Korn Associates to develop the Generally Recognised Standards for the data protection purpose of ‘archiving in the public interest.
We also ran a prize draw for two places on our exciting 2026 schedule of courses, and I hope to see many of the delegates again soon, especially on our courses on:
Naomi said, “We were proud to be sponsors of such a successful and important annual event. Thank you to all the organisers, participants and other sponsors for making such a great conference”.
