Course Overview

We are increasingly using artificial intelligence in our work, but have you considered how copyright affects your use of AI tools, from prompts to outputs to model training?

This CPD-accredited, half-day intermediate course focused on cultural heritage, explores the copyright aspects of using artificial intelligence tools with a focus on Generative AI such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Midjourney. Generative AI provides many new opportunities to analyse and research your collections or create interactive experiences — but there are several copyright and ethical risks to navigate.

Through practical guidance and expert insights, you’ll explore key issues associated with copyright and Generative AI, gain an understanding of the copyright-related AI debates, and learn how to apply practical strategies to reduce the legal and ethical risks.
