Showtown is Blackpool’s Museum of fun and entertainment, celebrating the town’s rich history as the UK’s premier seaside resort. Located near the famous Blackpool Tower, it showcases the vibrant stories of performers, comedians, dancers, and showbiz legends who helped shape Blackpool’s unique cultural identity. With interactive exhibits and immersive displays, Showtown invites visitors of all ages to explore the magic of variety shows, circus acts, and the iconic ballroom scene that made Blackpool a beloved hub of British entertainment.
In 2023, Showtown commissioned Naomi Korn Associates to provide rights clearance support for the project. This included auditing the exhibition’s content to identify what is in copyright, drafting rights clearance letters and agreements, tracing rights holders and contacting them to clear rights to reproduce and display images, film, audio recordings in the galleries. The team at Naomi Korn Associated were thrilled to support such an exciting project and to watch as our rights clearance support brought to life the stories, experiences and exhibits.
