When The London Library was deciding to digitise part of its collection, they wanted to do some exploratory research, and they sought the expertise of Naomi Korn Associates having used their services before for copyright assistance. The challenge was to ensure that the digitisation process complied with GDPR regulations, considering the potential presence of personal data and whether the project would be feasible to move forward.
Rather than providing generic advice, we conducted an onsite visit to assess the situation thoroughly. Through our hands-on approach and collaboration with The London Library, we provided tailored support to manage data protection risks effectively. Our specialised guidance will ensure that the digitisation project will adhere to GDPR requirements and maximise the value of this historic collection.
