Naomi Korn Associates and The Archives and Records Association 2025 Webinar Series

Naomi Korn Associates are thrilled to present a monthly series of webinars throughout 2025 with the Archives & Records Association (UK & Ireland) (ARA). The ARA “was created to ensure that archives and records were properly looked after and preserved for posterity and that all those working hard on this task received the proper training and support to do so”[1]. Supporting colleagues in archive and record spaces is a cornerstone of Naomi Korn Associates, and we are delighted to be able to continue our work in this space with such an incredible partner organisation.

The first webinar, What is Personal Data? Learn to identify and classify personal data in your archival records, successfully went forward yesterday, Monday 13 January and we were incredibly pleased that Naomi Korn Associates consultant Judith Curthoys took the lead. She said: “It was a privilege to meet on-line with members of ARA on 13 January to talk about personal data in archives; how to identify it and how to manage it in compliance with data protection law. It was my first presentation for Naomi Korn Associates as both archivist and data protection consultant!”

Coming up on Monday 10 February, 12-1pm, Naomi Korn, CEO, will be presenting Why are there so many Orphan Works in archival collections? To find out more and book your place, click here: https://www.archives.org.uk/training-events/why-are-there-so-many-orphan-works-in-archival-collections
